Hello!  I am a recent (May 2019) graduate of the Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University-Central Texas. I graduated from the same school in 2016 with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology.  I specialized in child and adolescents throughout my school career.  For my internship, I completed hours at Cedar Crest Hospital and RTC, working with children, adolescents, and adults.  Upon graduation I got a full time job at the same hospital on the adult unit.  I became adept at working with those with schizophrenia, Bipolar, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and Borderline Personality Disorder.  I also am very experienced and knowledgeable at working with those with ADHD, autism, and various learning and developmental delays. I enjoy using a person centered approach that focuses on the person’s strength and ability to manage their daily living through skills taught in therapy.  However, I enjoy research and drawing on many other modalities to provide the treatment that would best benefit the client. I am currently an LPC-Associate/NCC, but I am less than 300 hours away from full licensure. I have experience both with the short term hospital therapy and the more chronic long term therapy aspects, having seen several clients.  I have transitioned to private practice, where I see patients both in person and via telehealth. I currently cannot accept insurance because I do not have my full license yet, but I do accept cash payment.

How do you work with clients with depression?
I work with clients with depression by using a holistic, person-centered approach. We focus on understanding the root causes of their feelings, setting small, manageable goals, and incorporating strategies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness to shift negative thought patterns and build resilience. I also provide support outside of medication, offering tools to improve daily functioning and emotional well-being.
Having been diagnosed with ADHD myself, I am deeply passionate about helping both children and adults manage ADHD and various other mental health challenges. I earned my Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2023 from Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida, after receiving my Master’s in Nursing from the same institution in 2021. My interest in psychiatry was ignited during my nursing student rotations in St. Louis, Missouri, where I witnessed firsthand the struggles individuals faced in accessing mental health care across the United States. My experiences in the healthcare systems of St. Louis, Atlanta, West Palm Beach, and now Seattle have highlighted the pressing demand for psychiatric providers, as the waitlist to see a provider remains lengthy. This motivated me to establish my own practice in Washington state, aiming to provide accessible mental health resources, diagnoses, and medication management. My goal is to deliver quick access to resources to support both adolescents and adults. In my leisure time, I enjoy hiking, walking, appreciating nature, sports, and reading. *Specialties •Mental Health •Adult Psychiatry •Child Psychiatry *Conditions treated •Depression •Anxiety •PTSD •ADHD •Mood disorders •Anxiety disorders •Behavioral issues *Treatment philosophy It’s essential for us that our clients get personalized care right at the comfort of their own home, without the sacrifice of quality care.
