How do you work with clients with anxiety?
With anxiety, I focus on both understanding and regulation. We explore what your anxiety is trying to communicate, while also building tools to help your body feel safer. This may include grounding techniques, nervous system regulation, and gently working through thought patterns that keep anxiety going. I also move at a pace that respects your capacity, rather than pushing too quickly.
Dear future clients, I'm a bilingual therapist fluent in both English and Spanish, dedicated to providing compassionate support and guidance to Neurodivergent individuals (both Autism and ADHD), anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I create a warm and welcoming space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to navigate their mental health journey. I also offer neurodivergent assessments and group counseling. I am supervised by Cassandra Holt Kimbell, LPCC- S 11336, at Freestyle Supervision and EMDR Group LLC. My approach is rooted in empathy and openness, tailored to each client's unique needs and goals. I'm committed to helping individuals uncover their inner strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and build resilience in the face of life's challenges. If you're struggling with managing Autism or ADHD symptoms, anxiety and depression, or navigating significant life changes, I'm here to support you every step of the way. Together, we can work towards a brighter tomorrow, where you feel empowered to overcome obstacles and live a more fulfilling life. Reach out today and take a step towards positive change.

How do you work with clients with anxiety?
I work with clients to better understand the sources of their anxiety and how it affects their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify triggers, challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, and develop practical coping strategies to manage stress more effectively. I help clients build emotional awareness, increase confidence in handling uncertainty, and learn skills to reduce overwhelm in everyday situations. My goal is to provide a supportive environment where clients can gain insight, develop resilience, and feel more empowered in managing anxiety both now and in the future.
I specialize in supporting young adults navigating anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. My clients often face the pressures of school, work, or early career challenges, and may feel overwhelmed by stress, uncertainty, or the expectations they place on themselves. Many are seeking guidance in understanding their emotions, building practical coping strategies, and creating a more balanced approach to everyday life. My approach is supportive, practical, and collaborative. Therapy with me is about helping you better understand yourself while developing tools that actually make a difference in daily life. Together, we focus on increasing emotional awareness, strengthening coping skills, and cultivating healthier ways of responding to stress and overwhelming emotions. Therapy isn’t about having everything figured out—it’s about building insight, skills, and confidence to navigate life in a healthier, more balanced way. I offer early morning and evening appointments to accommodate busy schedules, making therapy accessible for clients balancing school, work, and daily responsibilities. A free 20-minute consultation is available to explore how we can work together.

How do you work with clients with anxiety?
I work with clients with anxiety by first understanding how anxiety is showing up in their daily life whether that looks like constant worry, racing thoughts, panic, irritability, difficulty sleeping, feeling overwhelmed, or trouble slowing down. I take a practical and collaborative approach, looking at the full picture, including emotional symptoms, physical health, stress levels, routines, and any other factors that may be contributing. When appropriate, I provide medication management as part of treatment, while also helping clients better understand their symptoms and what may be fueling them. My goal is to create a treatment plan that feels realistic, personalized, and supportive, so clients can feel more stable, more in control, and better able to function in everyday life.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and founder of Open Chair Psychiatry & Mental Wellness. I provide telehealth psychiatric medication management for adults across Ohio with a focus on accessible, practical, and collaborative mental health care. My background in nursing and advanced psychiatric practice allows me to take a whole-person approach, recognizing how mental health, physical health, lifestyle, and life stressors interact. I believe treatment works best when patients feel heard, respected, and involved in decisions about their care. I have experience treating depression, anxiety disorders, mood instability, and other complex psychiatric conditions. My practice focuses primarily on medication management while emphasizing education and practical strategies that support long-term stability. I aim to expand access to quality psychiatric care for adults throughout Ohio, including those in communities with limited mental health resources.
