How do you work with clients with anxiety?
Anxiety is more than just worry, it’s the body stuck in a constant state of alert, with racing thoughts, restlessness, or even physical symptoms like a pounding heart, stomach issues, or poor sleep. These are signals pointing to a larger issue. I look deeper at thyroid health, hormones, blood sugar, vitamin levels, sleep, and stress patterns that often get overlooked. By uncovering and addressing those drivers, I help create a plan that combines medical support, lifestyle changes, and therapy so your body and mind can finally settle into balance.
I am a physician assistant with a background in endocrinology and psychiatry, specializing in the intersection of mental health and metabolic health. My clinical focus is on understanding how hormones, sleep, and metabolic imbalances contribute to conditions like depression, anxiety, fatigue, and brain fog. At MetaBridge Health & Wellness in Atlanta, I provide integrative and metabolic psychiatric care with an emphasis on hormone optimization, circadian health for shift workers, and personalized treatment plans guided by advanced lab testing. My approach is evidence-based and patient-centered, designed for individuals who are functioning but still struggling with energy, mood, or focus. I believe in going beyond symptom management to address the root causes of health challenges, creating lasting solutions that support both mind and body.

How do you work with clients with anxiety?
My work with anxiety starts with listening to your unique experience and understanding what situations, thoughts, and feelings drive your symptoms. Anxiety can show up in many forms, and part of my role is to sort through the details carefully so the treatment fits you and not just the label. I am conservative with medications and very deliberate about what I prescribe. If we use medication, I will explain why I am recommending it, what it does, and what to watch for. My goal is for you to understand your treatment as clearly as I do. You will always be encouraged to ask questions, challenge recommendations, and make decisions with me, never feeling like things are hidden or rushed. I want every patient to leave knowing they are heard, understood, and fully informed.
Sean Kim, is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who provides compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care. As a PMHNP, he is licensed to diagnose mental health conditions, prescribe and manage medications, and provide ongoing treatment; with emphasis on whole-person, patient-centered care. He specializes in treating ADHD, depression, anxiety, OCD, and PTSD. Currently, serving patients in Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, Torrance, and throughout Los Angeles County. For those outside the South Bay, He also offers secure tele-health appointments anywhere in California. His approach blends thorough psychiatric evaluation, thoughtful medication management, and integrative strategies to help you feel like yourself again, focused, balanced, and confident in your daily life. He created Lumina Wellness to transform psychiatric care by providing personalized, high-quality treatment that is both accessible and sustainable. He believes patients deserve more than rushed five-minute appointments; they deserve thoughtful, individualized care where their needs are heard and respected. By accepting insurance without compromising quality, we are changing the way medication management is done, making comprehensive mental health care available to everyone while maintaining the highest standards of compassion and clinical excellence.

How do you work with clients with anxiety?
When working with clients who experience anxiety, I provide a supportive space to understand their triggers and patterns while teaching practical coping skills. I often use CBT techniques to challenge unhelpful thoughts and solution-focused strategies to build confidence, reduce worry, and regain a sense of calm and control in daily life.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience working with adult population with issues of decreased motivation and anxiety. It is my thinking that everyone should have someone to speak to about things on their minds, both good and not great, and I will provide a confidential and safe space for this. I use various types of therapeutic interventions while engaging my clients in conversation and helping them see how they can improve in their life choices and to feel better about themselves. As humans, we all make mistakes and in making these mistake, we learn to improve ourselves. I work with Cognitive Behavioral therapeutic techniques as the way we think about things affects how we feel, which in turn affects our behaviors. I urge for self care and help my clients with feelings of low confidence. My focus is in the areas of depression and anxiety and I use a blend of evidence based techniques to make my clients feel happier with their lives and their choices. I have experience with group work and with individual therapy and will help you find what works for you throughout our time together.

How do you work with clients with anxiety?
When working with anxiety, I use art therapy and somatic awareness to help you externalize racing thoughts and reconnect with a sense of calm. Creative expression allows anxious energy to take shape outside of you, while body-based grounding helps regulate the nervous system. Together, we’ll develop tools to manage overwhelm and strengthen your connection to safety and self-trust.
As a trauma-informed art therapist based in Philadelphia, I believe healing begins with connection—to ourselves, our bodies, and the stories that shape us. My path to becoming a therapist has been guided by a deep curiosity about how creativity, embodiment, and compassion can help people feel more grounded and whole. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling and Art Therapy and am both a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) and a Registered Art Therapist Provisional (ATR-P). My background includes working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, identity exploration, and life transitions, with a particular focus on women’s issues and LGBTQ+ affirming care. In my work, I blend art therapy, somatic awareness, and person-centered approaches to support clients in finding safety within themselves and clarity in their experiences. I view therapy as a collaborative process—one that honors each person’s inherent creativity, resilience, and capacity for growth. Outside of therapy, I love thrifting and antiquing, and you can often find me curled up with a fantasy novel and my two cats, Cricket and Jerry.
