About Zakisha
I am a board-certified PMHNP specializing in holistic, evidence-based care for adults facing PTSD, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, and Substance Use Disorders. With a background spanning inpatient, outpatient, and specialized recovery settings (including PHP/IOP and OTP), I provide a high level of clinical expertise across the full spectrum of mental health. My approach is integrative and deeply individualized, combining medication management with supportive therapy and motivational interviewing. I am dedicated to creating a warm, inclusive, and non-judgmental space where we treat the "whole person," not just a diagnosis. Whether you are seeking stability or growth, I am here to partner with you on a path to lasting wellness.
How do you work with clients with trauma and PTSD?
I use a trauma-informed, patient-centered approach that prioritizes safety, trust, and empowerment. We move at a pace that feels right for the client, focusing on stabilization, emotional regulation, and healing. Clients are never pushed to revisit traumatic experiences before they feel ready.
How do you work with clients with ADHD?
I work with adults with ADHD using a highly individualized, strengths-based approach. Treatment often includes careful medication management when appropriate, combined with supportive therapy, motivational interviewing, and practical skill-building. We focus on improving attention, organization, emotional regulation, and follow-through while also addressing self-esteem and burnout that often accompany ADHD. Clients should know that ADHD is not a flaw—it’s something we learn to understand and manage together in a way that supports their goals and lifestyle.
How do you work with clients with anxiety?
My approach is integrative and deeply individualized, combining medication management with supportive therapy and motivational interviewing. I am dedicated to creating a warm, inclusive, and non-judgmental space where we treat the "whole person," not just a diagnosis. Whether you are seeking stability or growth, I am here to partner with you on a path to lasting wellness.
