I work with clients experiencing depression by taking a compassionate, individualized, and holistic approach. I start by creating a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences, thoughts, and emotions at their own pace.
From there, I collaborate with each client to better understand the root causes and contributing factors of their depression. Together, we identify patterns in thinking, behavior, and lifestyle that may be impacting their mood. I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients challenge negative thought patterns, build healthier coping strategies, and reconnect with activities and values that bring meaning to their lives.
