How do you work with clients with anxiety?
I work collaboratively with clients to understand the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that fuel anxiety. Together, we identify triggers, develop practical coping strategies, and build skills to manage overwhelming emotions. Using evidence-based approaches such as CBT and DBT, I help clients challenge anxious thinking, increase emotional regulation, and gradually face fears with confidence so they can feel more in control of their daily lives.
How does cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) work and how can it help?
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based approach that helps people recognize the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By identifying unhelpful thinking patterns and replacing them with more balanced perspectives, CBT can reduce anxiety, improve mood, and strengthen coping skills. I tailor CBT techniques to each client's needs, helping them develop practical tools they can use both in and outside of therapy to create lasting positive change.
