My name is Kimberlin D. Pittman. I'm a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) driven by a deep-rooted passion for helping people reclaim their mental health. My journey has taken me through diverse healthcare settings, including the Department of Veteran Affairs, Beacon Behavioral Hospital, and Odyssey House of Louisiana
At the Department of Veteran Affairs, I ensure top-quality care in skilled, hospice, acute care, and rehab units. At Beacon Behavioral Hospital, I manage shift operations, delivering safe and effective treatment for patients in mental health crises.
My role at Coram Infusion Services involves overseeing the nursing needs across Louisiana, providing critical home healthcare services like biological and antibiotic therapies. I also support victims of sexual assault as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) at Tulane University Hospital and Clinic.
With a solid background in nursing education from Delgado Community College's Charity School of Nursing and extensive clinic operations experience with Ochsner Health System, I am dedicated to guiding future nurses and enhancing clinic care.
Academically, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Jackson State University, along with an MBA from the University of Phoenix. My nursing education includes degrees from University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Grand Canyon University and Herzing University.
My commitment? Providing compassionate, quality care that improves your mental health and well-being.
I treat patients by understanding what issues they perceive are important and addressing those issues in a collaborative manner so that we are partners in supporting your goals, both long-term and short term.
