I believe your life is a book, and while the early chapters may be heavy, they do not define your whole story. You have the power to write what happens next. My Approach I view your life as a narrative shaped by everything you’ve carried—trauma, grief, and joy alike. While what you’ve been through matters deeply, it is not your identity. I offer a compassionate, down-to-earth approach to help you navigate your most difficult moments. In our work together, therapy becomes a safe space to explore how your past shows up in your present, especially within your relationships. By blending evidence-based tools with real talk, we’ll dive into the connection between your mind, body, and emotions to understand exactly where you feel stuck. My goal is to help you move from a place of surviving your history to intentionally authoring your future. How We’ll Work Together Healing is a journey of self-discovery—uncovering who you are and what you truly need. I hold our time together as sacred, providing a space for you to share both the positives and the negatives. Together, we will: Process Past Wounds: Ensure old traumas no longer dictate your future. Identify Patterns: Pinpoint the unhelpful cycles holding you back from genuine connection. Build Your Toolkit: Develop the skills to communicate needs and set healthy boundaries. Live Intentionally: Gain the courage to take deliberate steps toward a life of wholeness. My Commitment to You I provide compassionate and honest therapy for adults who want to change habits and perspectives that have been holding them back. I am here to empower you to truly know yourself, identify your needs, and gain the tools to express them. Your story is still being written. Let's make the next chapter your best one yet.

Procrastinating on work or running on autopilot? Struggling to stay focused, get quality sleep, or keep your routines on track? Maybe you’re feeling drained, frustrated by nutrition, exercise habits, or hormonal shifts, or just not like yourself lately. You’re not alone. I help people stop wasting their energy on things that drain them and start investing it where it counts. I’m a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and work with adults ages 19 to 45. My focus is on comprehensive medication management for ADHD, Depression, Insomnia, PMDD, PTSD, and weight management. I treat the whole person, not just their symptoms. This includes looking closely at sleep habits, screen time, food choices, weightlifting, communication, mindset, and daily routines to support lasting change. My focus is on making sure you’re strong in every area, not just surviving. With 10 years of experience as a travel nurse, including 6 in psychiatry, I bring a strong clinical foundation to my current role as a nurse practitioner. Over the years, one thing has become clear to me: at the core, we are all more alike than different. Most people want peace, autonomy, and real enjoyment in their lives. My philosophy is a lot like sports. In baseball, maybe you can catch, run, and hit line drives, but if you can’t throw the ball, you’ll never reach your full potential. Mental health works the same way. Medication, sleep, movement, and daily habits all work together. That’s how real change happens

I am Dr. Meghan Hammel, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD) dedicated to supporting women through life’s most pivotal transitions. With over 14 years of professional experience—including my tenure at the UC San Diego Health System—I specialize in providing high-quality, evidence-based therapy for clients in Arizona, California, and across more than 40 PSYPACT-participating states. My Specialized Approach to Therapy My clinical practice is centered on helping highly empathic young professionals and mothers navigate the pressures of modern life. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindful Self-Compassion to help you move from a state of constant reaction to one of intentional response. Perinatal & Postpartum Mental Health: I offer expert support for women navigating pregnancy, postpartum depression, and the complex "fourth trimester" transition. Anxiety & Burnout: I help clients manage the cycle of worry and rumination, particularly those in high-stress medical and professional fields. Parenting & Attachment: As a provider experienced in the Circle of Security® Parenting™ program, I help parents build stronger emotional connections and manage the stress of early parenthood. Life Transitions: Whether you are dealing with career changes, relocation, or relationship shifts, I provide a structured, validating space to process these changes and align your actions with your core values. A Supportive Partnership I believe that therapy should be an interactive and collaborative journey. My goal is to create a non-judgmental environment where we can explore your emotions and identify actionable strategies to improve your daily life. By focusing on self-compassion and mindfulness, we work together to "fill your emotional cup" so you can live a life that feels authentic and balanced.
