I am Osvaldo Vazquez, a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner fluent in both English and Spanish. Throughout my career, I have always been focused on providing patient-centered care. Currently, I am serving at Florida Medical Center Group and Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital, where I perform initial psychiatric evaluations, provide follow-up consultations, diagnose and treat psychiatric disorders, and prescribe necessary medications. My goal is to ensure the overall well-being of my patients. With experience in various healthcare settings, including Southern Winds Hospital and VITAS Hospice Care, I have honed my skills in administering medications, performing assessments, and ensuring comprehensive patient care. My background also includes experience as a general doctor, endoscopist, and mental therapist, providing a broad base of medical knowledge and understanding. I am committed to offering compassionate care and support to all my patients, helping them manage their mental health and integrate into society. Harp Counseling provides individual, family, and couples therapy services to adolescents, adults, and their families going through a variety of mental health challenges. These include but are not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, grief, cultural integration issues, academic pressures/stress, substance abuse issues, etc. At Harp, we believe that for an individual to make progress, they must address their struggles holistically. The mind, the body, and the spirit are important aspects of a human being. I will work with clients utilizing an integration of modalities to address destructive thoughts that may be causing extremes in emotion, while identifying invaluable supports such as socialization, exercise, nutrition, and faith for the best management and prognosis. 

I am a licensed mental health counselor in Florida and work with couples and individuals on improving their relationships and quality of life, and therapists on managing a number of experiences that come up through their work. I offer free, 15 minute phone consultations. Starting September 1, 2023 I will be accepting insurance. Currently I accept out-of-network insurance benefits that will support the cost of services. We can verify these benefits prior to the start of services, as many clients have out-of-network benefits and are not aware of it. As an avid reader and writer, I have developed a deep passion for personal development and spirituality (Christian faith), which has led me to explore various avenues, from self-help, books to motivational speeches and I am writing a book and developing a journal with the hopes of sharing it with you soon.

She has over 16 years plus of experience working with children, adults and their families as case manager and as a therapist in the South Florida community. I’ve always carried a deep desire to help people. My first career law enforcement. However, it did not really allow me to really dig in with individuals and help them make changes so they were not continuing the same cycles over and over. I returned to school and pursued my education in behavioral science and then mental health counseling, graduating with my Master’s degree in 2013. I've treated clients in residential treatment, intensive outpatient treatment, community mental health, and in a low to high security, all male state prison. I've worked with individuals from every walk of life. As a therapist and human being I’m always motivated to learn and grow. One of my passions is Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. I have been trained in and previously held certification in the Equine Assisted Growth & Education model. I also earned my EAGALA Military Services Designation to provide culturally competent services to our military members and their families. Another passion is working with our first responders, giving back to those to give so much daily.
