Nik Wicks (they/them) is a dedicated counselor who works with adolescents, young/emerging adults, and established adults. They specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ adolescents, particularly those who are neurodiverse and/or experiencing depression or anxiety. Overall, Nik views therapy as a process of guided and assisted change—like a road trip, where the client is behind the wheel and they are in the passenger seat, helping to pick a destination and give directions while letting the client drive the car. This collaborative approach makes the journey as meaningful as the destination. Nik has a strong interest in holistic and trauma-informed care. Utilizing an eclectic approach, they draw from a social constructivist and person-centered/strengths-based perspective. They frequently incorporate tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as Art Therapy. They have completed TF-CBT training. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Alliant International University with a Masters of Arts in Child and Family Therapy in 2022. Leaning into my village, we welcomed our second child while I was in school. I completed my practicum at Liberation Institute, providing accessible mental health services to clients in San Francisco and through out California. The ability to provide tele-health services allowed me to balance having an infant, being present for my toddler, being a loving wife, sister, and daughter. I am so grateful to serve on the management team at Liberation Institute, training hundreds of aspiring clinicians in group therapy. I am a Gottman Bringing Baby Home educator. Lindsey is a licensed social worker who has experience with various populations and challenges. She specializes in relationship building in regards to family, couple/martial, and sibling bonds. Lindsey utilizes individual and group training interventions in order for families to implement positive behavioral techniques for challenging behaviors and obtain psycho-education of various diagnoses and interventions. She is trained in evidence-based treatments including CBT, DBT, Positive Family Interventions, Zones of Regulation, Motivational Interviewing, TF-CBT, Empowerment Theory, along with Licensure Supervision. She focuses on an individualized family approach to assist with issues related to mental health, trauma, challenging behaviors, academic/legal involvement, substance abuse, divorce and blended families.She has experience with supporting individuals with intellectual-developmental disabilities, ASD and/or dual diagnoses.
