Patricia Weiss

Neuropsychologist
In-Person Therapy
How do you help clients with testing and evaluations?
Please see the description above. I speak at length with the parents first, and there is no fee for that. I do not take insurance, but for no fee, I can help the family , by calling their insurance company myself , and finding out how much they can be reimbursed. Sometimes the assessment can be tax deductible, depending on what your accountant says, under Medical Expenses.
I am one of the few neuropsychologists in San Francisco Bay Area. I have completed over 4300 assessments in the last 22 years since I was licensed in 2002. I am also a medical staff member at St. Mary's /UCSF McAuley Institute Adolescent Inpatient Unit. I can test in Spanish and French. I also speak Hindi and Urdu. I love working with children adn teens, and helping them receive the accommodations they deserve; I specialize in ADHD, focusing /concentration difficulties, and Processing Speed/Receptive Auditory Processing Skills difficulties. I also can help students with anxiety and depression and trauma. The assessment is usually six hours of testing, and then I score and write up a report , good for three years, and have a feedback with the family, and then, for no fee, have a feedback with the school Learning department. The head of the LD department writes up a one to two page summary for the SAT/ACT/IB or SSAT Board, in order to request accommodations, such as extra time, smaller testing rooms, etc.
