If you’re carrying constant responsibility, making high-stakes decisions, and pushing through exhaustion because “that’s just part of the job,” you’re not alone—and you’re not broken. My path into psychiatric care became personal after experiencing burnout myself in high-pressure healthcare environments. I know what it’s like to function at a high level while feeling mentally drained, emotionally detached, and physically exhausted—no matter how much sleep you get. That experience reshaped how I care for patients and who I care for. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Kent State University and my Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. I bring 12 years of experience as a Registered Nurse and 7 years as a Nurse Practitioner.

Whether you are having issues with anxiety, depression, family conflict, identity, college transitions, trauma, relationship concerns, or grief and loss, I can help you through a difficult situation. While I've worked with a wide spectrum of clients over the years, clients in my practice are between 16-60 years of age who have difficulty with anxiety, depression, and/or interpersonal relationships. Goals related to these difficulties are often managing anxiety, increasing coping skills, improving relationships, and processing trauma if present. I am a licensed social worker with 15 years of clinical experience. I have worked with a vast majority of mental health issues and concerns ranging from personal life, work, and relationship issues. My youngest client has been 6, and my oldest client has been 90. I have experience working with various mental health diagnoses. My training focused on assessment and treatment of varying concerns. This includes utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities. Still, I believe in a person-centered approach to therapy, tailoring services to the individual's personal story, and utilizing an integrative approach.

My Name is Lisa Johnson. I am dual-board certified as both a psychiatric and a family nurse practitioner, and I have over 10 years of experience. I provide a safe, non-judgement zone, collaborative environment where I offer medication management, and psychotherapy services. I partner with clients to help meet their unique needs. I am a great listener, I am very empathetic, and I believe in treating the "whole" person. I possess advanced training and certifications in therapy, ADHD, Trauma, military culture, functional medicine, bariatric evaluations, medically supervised weight loss and nutrition.
