I am a personable, dedicated, and genuine Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 combined years of experience as a social worker. My belief is that everyone should be treated with dignity and respect. In every work environment that I have worked from schools, to governmental agencies, to psychiatric hospital settings, to private practice, I make a conscience effort to show not only compassion and warmth, but also a respect and genuine rapport with my clientele. Throughout the years, I have learned that it is not enough to simply treat people the way that you would want to be treated, but to treat them the way that they want to be treated as well.

I am a doctor of ministry specializing in soul care and a licensed clinical mental health counselor associate in the state of North Carolina.  I have been counseling for over 10 years. I believe we have to pay attention to our soul and give it the attention it needs. 

I’m Jena Plummer and I help people find themselves again. As a person, I show up to my office with an understanding of my own humanness. I have my own counselor because I believe in the value (and sometimes magic) of counseling. I find healing in artwork, writing, music, and creating. I named my child after a Phish song. I reload the dishwasher after my family loads it up the first time. I am perfectly imperfect, and I want to help you embrace and make friends with that part of yourself, too. I offer both counseling and coaching/consulting services to those seeking therapy or those looking to grow and develop a therapy practice. I typically have a full caseload, but I also clinically supervise multiple therapists who can help you as well!
