How do you work with clients with weight loss issues?
When working with clients on weight loss, I focus on creating personalized, comprehensive care plans tailored to their unique needs and goals. Together, we assess your current health, lifestyle, and any underlying conditions that may affect weight management. I provide guidance on nutrition, exercise, and behavioral changes, while also addressing any medical concerns such as diabetes or hypertension that may be linked to weight. I emphasize a supportive and non-judgmental approach, ensuring that you feel comfortable and motivated throughout your journey. Regular follow-ups allow us to monitor progress, make adjustments as needed, and celebrate successes along the way. My goal is to help you achieve sustainable weight loss in a healthy and balanced manner.
Hello! I'm a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with a passion for providing comprehensive care to patients with a range of health conditions. With years of experience in primary care, I've honed my skills in evaluating, diagnosing, and managing complex health issues, always with a focus on personalized treatment plans. My journey in healthcare has led me to embrace telemedicine, using platforms like Spruce to ensure continuous patient care, especially during challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic. I believe in leveraging technology for efficient communication and charting through systems like Elation, ensuring that your medical information is accurate and secure. As an Adjunct Faculty Site Supervisor at Grand Canyon University until January 2023, I've guided nursing students on their path to excellence, emphasizing the importance of a strong patient-provider relationship. My commitment to mental health is evident from my time at Cerebral, where I conducted Telehealth sessions and prescribed treatments for conditions such as ADHD and anxiety disorders. My experience extends from primary care to pain management, weight management, diabetes education, and to specialized care in transplant units at Loma Linda University Medical Center, where I collaborated with teams on post-surgical management for transplant recipients. I'm proud to have worked alongside Dr. Jeff Toll since August 2021 as a Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care/Family Medicine. Together, we strive for excellence in patient care coordination and communication. Your well-being is my top priority. Hello! I'm Susan Brock, an Adult and Geriatric Nurse Practitioner with a passion for helping patients achieve better health, particularly in weight management and mental health. My weight loss journey started as a young girl with my mom attending weekly Weight Watchers meetings. Since that time, I have done Jenny Craig, Nutrisystem, Hilton Head Metabolism Diet, Slimfast, Cabbage Soup diet, starved myself, and on and on. I nearly died taking the Phen-Fen combination of meds years ago after only 1 month. I have done Belviq, Contrave, Qsymia, Saxenda, Roux-En-Y Gastric Bypass and regained my weight. The struggle is real for me too. With years of experience in both in-person and telehealth settings, I've worked with various clinics and healthcare providers to support adults and seniors in their health journeys. At Weekend Health and Achieve Medical Weight Loss Clinic, I focus on providing personalized weight loss plans, prescribing necessary medications, and closely monitoring patients' progress to ensure they meet their goals. I've also had the privilege of teaching the next generation of nurses as a Clinical Adjunct Professor at Austin Peay State University. Guiding students through clinical rotations and sharing my expertise in mental health care has been incredibly rewarding. Previously, I managed ADHD care through telehealth, ensuring that patients received proper medication and care tailored to their needs. My work at Inovalon involved comprehensive health assessments for insurance carriers, ensuring patients received the preventive screenings and treatments they needed. I've practiced in various states, allowing me to bring diverse experiences and insights to my care approach. My commitment is to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all my patients, helping them navigate their health with confidence. Let’s work together to achieve your health goals! TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: I prefer to be your cheerleader and lift you up. We are in this together and will be there to offer support in the way you need it through patient education, personal experiences or any way I am able.
