In the heart of Tennessee, I've not only witnessed but personally navigated the challenges our communities face. My life's purpose is centered around assisting individuals like you in navigating life's intricacies. If you're grappling with Anxiety, Depression, Burnout, Trauma, or Substance Use, rest assured, you're not alone. -Points of Emphasis- Your Unique Journey Matters: Many of us carry pieces of our identity that present unique challenges to finding satisfaction in life. I comprehend the hurdles linked to ADHD, Autism, Spiritual, or Gender/Sexual identity and integrate tools, techniques, and perspectives relevant to your experiences. Your experiences are the tapestry of your world, and I'm here to understand and honor them. I blend therapeutic models—Person-Centered, Adlerian, CBT, and more—to craft a personalized path for your growth that feels natural and empowering. Flexible Support for Every Situation: Whether it's individual, couples, or family counseling, I offer diverse perspectives through both in-person and telehealth modalities. Your journey is distinct, and my commitment is to provide support that resonates with you. A Safe Haven for Change: At the core of effective therapy lies connection and comfort. I provide a judgment-free space where you can explore, learn, and reclaim control over your future. Your voyage toward a happier, more fulfilling life begins when you decide to take that first step. Reach out, and let's discuss why you deserve the effort it takes to create lasting change.

I’m so glad you’ve found your way here! You can call me Mckenna or Kenna (they/them). I identify as Queer, neurodivergent, a “spoonie”, and was raised on the unceded land of the Duwamish people, now known as Seattle. As an ally to those with marginalized identities, I’m grounded in the belief that our collective liberation is interconnected. I recognize how structural harms shape our experiences and healing journeys, and I’m committed to creating an inclusive, gender-affirming, sex-positive space rooted in Health at Every Size, and beyond. My work blends Liberation Psychology and Feminist Theory, striving to be authentic, anti-racist, and anti-oppressive. I hold a MA from Antioch University Seattle, trained in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Art Therapy and am currently accepting new clients at Playful Minds Counseling. I have experience providing LGBTQIA2S+ and neurodivergent-affirming care to teens and young adults navigating their sexual orientation and gender exploration, life transitions, family dynamics (particularly for children of immigrants and third culture individuals), disability & chronic illness, trauma/PTSD/C-PTSD, and suicidal ideation. I believe in the healing power of the creative arts and will introduce you to art therapy. Whether or not we incorporate art in our work together, creativity can show up in many ways, and I look forward to exploring that with you.
