How do you work with clients with anxiety?
Coming to therapy is already tough. We have our preconceived notions of what it's supposed to be like which can be anxiety inducing! Our upbringing, culture and other varying identities can also impact our experience of therapy. I'll work with your anxious brain to help modify your thoughts and behaviors in order to feel less anxious and create change in your life.
About Me
Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I became a therapist to support other Queer folks during transitions in life. We will work together to create lasting change by exploring your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. We'll also figure out what the change is you want to see in your life and take actionable steps to get there.
About Me
What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?
I really do believe that it's my job as a therapist to do a few things during our time together. First, I am trying to put myself out of a job. I think that you can gain skills in therapy that will be applicable to many facets of your life. Two, it is my job to highlight what you're doing right and emphasize that, while also creating new ways to think, behave and feel.
