Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I became a therapist because I have always been passionate about helping others navigate life’s challenges and discover their inner strength. Witnessing the resilience of individuals and families as they overcome obstacles, heal from past wounds, and grow into their best selves is both inspiring and deeply fulfilling. My motivation comes from seeing the transformative impact of therapy—whether it’s helping someone find clarity in their relationships, develop healthier coping strategies, or regain confidence in their ability to thrive. Every client’s journey is unique, and being a part of that process fuels my commitment to providing compassionate, culturally competent, and evidence-based care.
For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
Therapy can feel intimidating at first, especially if you’re unsure of what to expect or worry about being judged. But at its core, therapy is simply a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and challenges without fear. You don’t have to have everything figured out to start—therapy is about progress, not perfection. It’s an opportunity to gain new perspectives, develop coping strategies, and build a deeper understanding of yourself. Everyone deserves support, and taking that first step is a sign of strength, not weakness. You are not alone, and you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges by yourself.
What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?
People considering working with me should know that I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where they can feel heard and supported. With over 20 years of experience, I take a culturally competent, personalized approach to therapy, tailoring sessions to each individual's needs. My style is warm, interactive, and patient, focusing on practical tools for growth and self-discovery. I believe therapy is a collaborative journey, and I encourage openness, creativity, and stepping outside of comfort zones when ready. My goal is to empower clients with insight, coping strategies, and a deeper understanding of themselves to navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
What do therapy sessions with you look like?
Therapy sessions with me are collaborative, supportive, and tailored to your needs. I provide a warm, non-judgmental space where we explore challenges, identify patterns, and develop practical tools for growth. Using evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, and mindfulness, we focus on improving communication, coping strategies, and self-awareness. Sessions are interactive and engaging, encouraging open dialogue and personal empowerment in your healing journey.
How do you work with clients with addiction?
I take a compassionate, holistic approach to addiction, helping clients explore underlying causes, identify triggers, and develop healthier coping strategies. Using evidence-based techniques like CBT, DBT, and mindfulness, I focus on relapse prevention, emotional regulation, and building self-awareness. My goal is to empower clients with the tools, support, and accountability needed for long-term recovery and a healthier life.
How do you work with clients with depression?
I work with clients experiencing depression by creating a supportive, non-judgmental space where they feel heard and understood. Using evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based techniques, I help clients identify negative thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and build emotional resilience. Sessions focus on improving motivation, enhancing self-care, and setting achievable goals to regain a sense of purpose and control. I also incorporate strength-based and solution-focused techniques to foster hope and personal growth. My goal is to empower clients with the tools and support they need to navigate depression and move toward a more fulfilling life.
How do you work with clients with anxiety?
I help clients with anxiety by using evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, and mindfulness to identify triggers, challenge negative thoughts, and develop coping strategies. Sessions focus on emotional regulation, stress management, and practical tools like deep breathing and relaxation techniques. My goal is to create a supportive space where clients feel empowered to manage anxiety with confidence.
How can you provide care remotely?
I provide remote care through secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms, ensuring a safe and confidential space for therapy sessions. Virtual sessions allow flexibility and accessibility, making it easier to receive support from the comfort of your home or any private space. I use video calls to create a personal and interactive experience, just as I would in an in-person session. My approach remains warm, engaging, and tailored to your needs, incorporating evidence-based techniques like CBT, DBT, and mindfulness. Remote therapy offers the same level of support and guidance while eliminating barriers like travel time and scheduling conflicts, making care more accessible and convenient.
