Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?

I became a therapist because I am deeply passionate about helping others navigate their mental health challenges and achieve wellness. Throughout my career, I’ve witnessed firsthand the profound impact that compassionate, patient-centered care can have on individuals. The ability to empower someone to take control of their mental well-being and find lasting healing is incredibly rewarding. What motivates me to continue is seeing my clients make progress, whether it's overcoming anxiety, managing depression, or finding peace in their lives. Their growth and resilience inspire me every day to keep doing this work with empathy and dedication.

For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?

For those hesitant to try therapy, I would tell you that seeking help is a courageous and important step toward healing and personal growth. Therapy is a safe space where you can explore your feelings, gain insight, and develop tools to navigate life’s challenges. It’s not about being “broken” or “weak” — it’s about taking control of your well-being and creating positive change in your life. You deserve to feel supported, understood, and empowered, and therapy is a valuable resource to help you get there. Starting can feel difficult, but I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

What do therapy sessions with you look like?

Therapy sessions with me are collaborative and compassionate. We begin by discussing your concerns, your experiences, and the challenges you’re facing. I take a patient-centered approach, ensuring that your goals and unique needs guide our work together. I utilize a combination of evidence-based therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches, to help you gain insight and develop practical coping strategies. Throughout our sessions, I create a safe, open environment where you can express yourself without judgment. I focus on empowering you by helping you build resilience, manage emotions, and work through any obstacles to your mental well-being. Whether we're discussing specific symptoms or working through larger life issues, my goal is to support you on your journey to a healthier, more fulfilling life.

How do you work with clients with depression?

For clients with depression, I use a holistic approach that may include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and medication management. I focus on understanding your unique experiences, supporting you in challenging negative thoughts, and providing tools for emotional regulation and recovery.

How do you work with clients with anxiety?

I work with clients experiencing anxiety through a patient-centered approach that integrates mindfulness-based techniques and supportive psychotherapy. Together, we explore coping strategies, address underlying stressors, and develop tools to manage and reduce anxiety in daily life.
