About Anahita
"The purpose of life is to discover our own inherent nobility and to help others discover theirs." – Abdu'l-Bahá. My journey to becoming a therapist began with my own experience of managing mental health from a young age. This personal journey highlighted the profound power of therapy and inspired me to help others achieve similar transformations. Therapy, to me, is more than a profession—it’s my calling. Every step I take alongside my clients reaffirms the transformative power of hope, healing, and the therapeutic relationships. I have extensive experience and training in treating depression, anxiety disorders, other mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma/PTSD, relationship issues, grief, and life transitions. Healing isn’t about avoiding pain; it’s about feeling safe enough to face it, embrace it, and grow from it. Much like a rose blooms despite the thorns, I believe in your ability to rise through challenges and thrive. Together, we’ll create a supportive space where you can explore, build resilience, and move confidently toward the life you envision.
Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I became a therapist because of my own journey through significant personal challenges and mental health struggles. These experiences inspired me to help others find their path to healing. My innate gifts of intuition, empathy, advocacy, and curiosity have driven me to support individuals in overcoming their struggles. What motivates me to continue is witnessing the resilience and growth of my clients as they navigate their healing journeys. Seeing them break free from unhelpful patterns, build healthier relationships, and achieve personal well-being is incredibly rewarding. My commitment to providing a compassionate and effective therapeutic space fuels my dedication to this work every day.
For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
For those hesitant to try therapy, I want to emphasize that seeking help is a courageous and empowering step towards healing. Therapy is a collaborative process where you are not alone; it’s a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. Healing often begins with acknowledging and embracing our pain, just as the rose emerges from the thorn. Through therapy, you can gain insights, develop healthier coping strategies, and find the support you need to navigate life’s challenges. Your well-being is worth the investment in yourself.
What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?
Prospective clients should know that I bring a deeply empathetic and intuitive approach to therapy, shaped by my own personal experiences with mental health challenges. My mission is to create a safe and nurturing space where clients can explore their emotions and experiences without judgment. I specialize in helping individuals break free from unhelpful patterns, heal from trauma, manage anxiety and depression, enhance their relationships, and navigate life's transitions. My approach is holistic and tailored to each client's unique needs, integrating a variety of evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, ERP, ACT, and more.
How can you provide care remotely?
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I provide remote care through secure and confidential teletherapy sessions. This allows clients to access therapy from the comfort and privacy of their own homes. Using HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platforms, I ensure that the therapeutic experience remains effective and engaging. Remote care offers flexibility and convenience, making it easier for clients to incorporate therapy into their busy lives without geographical constraints.
