More than anything I want the individuals I work with to know that change can happen but only if change is wanted.
I'm here for you but you will need to be willing and available for yourself first in acknowledging something can be different.
Whatever has happened does not have to be the end but a beginning of what you want to see in your life!
Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I saw a need for individuals to experience healing emotionally, spiritually and mentally. So many times, one may feel that since the trauma is over and they are no longer crying or angry, they believe all is well; not always the case. I want to help people to understand that it's ok to be angry, it's ok to cry and it's ok to be vulnerable.
For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
Please try at least once, if you believe and feel that I'm not a good fit for you, you are more than welcome to find another therapist. Don't allow that hesitation to keep you from being or becoming a confident you!
What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?
I'm transparent and want to listen to you.
What does a typical session with you tend to look like?
I'm my office, you're on the couch, chair or floor, wherever you feel comfortable to speak and say what is on your mind.
How do you work with clients with depression?
I work with individuals with depression by asking what do they want to change or do they feel a need to change from their current situation. I move or work according to the client in what they believe is comfortable for them.
How can you provide care remotely?
Therapy remotely can be very beneficial if there is an issue with Anxiety and being outside the home. Therapy remotely is helpful for those that may need to travel a distance or not have transportation. Therapy remotely is also beneficial for those that feel more comfortable at home in their own environment.
