Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I became a therapist because I’m passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges and discover their inner strength. I’ve always believed in the power of healing through connection and wanted to create a safe space where others feel heard, understood, and supported. What motivates me to continue is seeing my clients grow — whether it’s a small breakthrough or a major shift in their mindset. Knowing that I can be part of someone’s journey toward healing and self-discovery keeps me inspired every day.
How does cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) work and how can it help?
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, goal-oriented approach that focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It helps clients identify negative or distorted thinking patterns that influence their emotions and actions. Through CBT, clients learn to challenge unhelpful thoughts, reframe them in a more balanced way, and develop healthier coping strategies. This process empowers individuals to manage stress, anxiety, and depression more effectively by breaking the cycle of negative thinking. The goal is to build practical skills that clients can use daily to create lasting, positive changes in their lives.
How do you work with clients with depression?
When supporting clients with depression, I focus on creating a warm, understanding environment where they feel heard and validated. Together, we work to uncover the root of their feelings, explore thought patterns, and develop practical steps to help them move forward — at their own pace. I use personalized strategies, such as cognitive techniques, mindfulness, and goal-setting, to foster a sense of progress and purpose. My goal is to help clients rediscover hope, build emotional resilience, and find meaningful ways to navigate life’s challenges.
How do you work with clients with anxiety?
When working with clients who experience anxiety, I create a safe, supportive space where they can openly share their thoughts and feelings. My approach focuses on identifying triggers, challenging negative thought patterns, and teaching practical coping strategies like breathing exercises and mindfulness techniques. I tailor each plan to fit the client’s unique needs, helping them build confidence, manage anxiety in daily life, and regain a sense of control. The goal is to empower them with tools they can use beyond our sessions.
