What's your experience with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)?
This is my go-to! I love CBT and how I can teach my clients to apply it to several situations in life. I do understand that CBT does not work for every client, so sometimes I also use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy. Typically, I will use CBT because of the reasons my clients seek therapy.
Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I received counseling when I was younger and I just remembering thinking, "I want to be able to help people like this." I genuinely do enjoy helping others and I get excited when they use the tools we review in sessions. The goal is to get them to a point where they no longer need me. :)
What's your experience with relationship counseling?
I love working with couples! We are able to work on several issues such as roles, love maps, intimacy, boundaries, communication, and more. The couples I work with enjoy the environment I provide. I do not take sides but simply help them learn how to interact with each other by using more kindness, understanding, compassion, grace, and love.
How can you provide care remotely?
Due to COVID-19, I am seeing all clients via telehealth. I only use a HIPAA-compliant platform to conduct all telehealth sessions.
What's your experience with children or adolescents?
I love working with children and teens. I have worked with children and teens since 2018.
