About Caleb
I'm a San Francisco Bay Area based therapist who offers virtual care (telehealth counseling and psychotherapy online) in my back yard and across California. I strive to meet each individual with empathy, humor, and direct communication that addresses the presenting issue head on. Working collaboratively with you I prioritize taking a supportive role while also working towards a clear goal that we develop together.

For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
Therapy is an incredible opportunity to have time and space that is all yours. There’s so few chances in our lives to have someone who can listen, reflect, and help you process who does have a vested interest in you agreeing with them. Imagine what it’s like to have someone who’s just on your team.
What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?
I don’t own a cardigan, I’ve never gently held a hot cup of tea delicately in two hands, I won’t “mmmmm” at you, or any other soft therapy sounds. I’m going to ask you questions, I’m going to make you laugh, we might even get a tear or two in there as well. I’m going to work hard with you.
How do you work with clients with addiction?
Honest and caring. Most often addiction is a constellation of thoughts, behaviors, and coping strategies that have been learned/honed over time. It’s going to take some hard work and patience to get to where you want to go.
What's your experience with relationship counseling?
I’m a firm believer that couples counseling is about helping the physical and emotional space between people, it’s up to them to figure out what to do with that. Check focus a lot on communication, clarity, and boundaries as I help people iron out rough spots in their relationship. New couples, young couples, folks about to make a transition.
What's your experience with children or adolescents?
I love working with teens. My super hidden (not really) secret agenda is to help them understand that therapy can be for them. I want to help adolescents feel their agency, set their boundaries, and learn to effectively communicate with the people in their lives.
What is your experience with clients with men's issues?
Men in our culture have been done a huge disservice when it comes to understanding, processing, and communicating our emotional life and boundaries to others. Masculinity and what it means to be a man has gotten so twisted that something as simple as cutting out coffee can throw our sense of self out of whack.
