About Celeste
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and board-approved supervisor in Arizona. I have over 6 years of experience in the field servicing adolescents and adults who have experienced adverse life events, life transitions, grief/loss, and low self-esteem. I currently specialize in working with women and helping professionals who are used to being the strong one and need a space where they can settle and come home to themselves. I believe that healing happens when we are seen, supported, and offered safety. This is the environment I aim to create in our work together. I am deeply passionate and honored to be in a role that allows me to guide others on their path to healing.
For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?
How does eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) work and how can it help?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based approach that helps your brain process and integrate difficult experiences. When something overwhelming happens, your brain may not fully process it, which can cause it to feel “stuck.” EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping) to help your brain reprocess those memories so they no longer feel as intense or present. Clients often notice that memories feel more distant, less emotionally charged, and no longer shape how they see themselves or the world in the same way. EMDR can be especially helpful for trauma, anxiety, negative self-beliefs, and patterns that feel hard to change through talk therapy alone.
Why is trauma processing important?
Unprocessed trauma doesn’t just stay in the past—it often shows up in the present as anxiety, emotional numbness, overthinking, people-pleasing, or feeling stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand. Trauma processing helps your nervous system “complete” experiences that were overwhelming at the time. Instead of your body staying in a constant state of alert or shutdown, it can begin to settle and respond more flexibly to the present. A session might include talking through experiences, noticing what comes up in your body, or using structured approaches like EMDR to help your brain reprocess memories in a way that reduces their intensity. You remain in control the entire time. We move at your pace as the goal is not to overwhelm you, but to help you feel more like yourself again.
How does somatic therapy work and how can it help?
Somatic therapy focuses on the connection between your mind and body. Many experiences, especially stress and trauma, are stored in the body, even when we logically understand what happened. In sessions we gently bring awareness to physical sensations, patterns of tension, and your nervous system responses. This might look like slowing down, noticing what you feel in your body, and learning how to regulate and release stored stress in a way that feels safe and manageable. This approach can help with anxiety, chronic stress, emotional numbness, and feeling disconnected from yourself. You won’t be asked to do anything that feels overwhelming. Everything is collaborative, paced, and centered on helping your body feel more regulated and supported.
How can you provide care remotely?
I provide virtual therapy for clients across Arizona through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. Remote therapy allows you to access support from the comfort and privacy of your own space, which can actually deepen the work for some people. All you need is a quiet, private space and a stable internet connection. I’ll guide you through everything else so you feel comfortable and supported.
How do you work with clients with women's issues?
Many women I work with are used to being the strong one or the one others rely on. Over time this can lead to burnout, emotional disconnection, difficulty setting boundaries, or feeling unsure of who you are outside of what you do for others. Our work focuses on helping you reconnect with yourself in a deeper, more sustainable way. This may include exploring patterns in relationships, processing past experiences, strengthening boundaries, and learning how to listen to your body and emotional needs without guilt. Therapy becomes a space where you don’t have to hold everything together. You get to be supported, understood, and guided toward a version of yourself that feels more grounded, clear, and aligned.
