About Me
Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I became a therapist to help other women in Domestic violence relationships to receive encouragement and autonomy to make better decisions in their lives. I am a survivor and I want to give back to other women as well. I am also motivated to help all other populations such as children, teens, men, women, and LGBTQ+ community with coping with today's society.
About Me
For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
I was once one that felt that being in therapy meant I was crazy. However, I implore people to think about how their mental health can help them have a more productive lifestyle. Talking to someone about your past trauma or current issues can help one to feel more confident to face life's challenges.
About Me
What does a typical session with you tend to look like?
Initially I will ask a lot of questions to help me understand the presenting problem and how to help. Together we will come up with a plan to help. I am there to help with ideas and motivation to do the work to heal from trauma and other problems affecting the clients life. I am very open and able to meet clients where they are to help them.
