How do you work with clients on anger management?
When working with clients struggling with anger, I begin by understanding the underlying factors contributing to their emotional responses, such as stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or other mental health concerns. Together, we identify triggers, recognize early warning signs, and develop healthier coping strategies. I use evidence-based therapeutic approaches to help clients improve emotional regulation, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. When appropriate, I also evaluate whether medication may help address underlying conditions that contribute to irritability or emotional dysregulation. My goal is to help clients respond to challenging situations more effectively and build healthier relationships.
How do you work with clients with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)?
I take a comprehensive, individualized approach when treating OCD. I begin with a thorough assessment to understand the nature of the obsessions, compulsions, and how they impact daily life. Treatment may include medication management, psychotherapy, and education about OCD and its symptoms. I utilize evidence-based interventions and collaborate closely with clients to develop practical strategies for managing intrusive thoughts, reducing compulsive behaviors, and improving overall functioning. My approach is supportive, nonjudgmental, and focused on helping clients regain confidence and control while working toward meaningful, lasting improvement.
