What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?

People should know that I am a mom, sister, daughter, wife, community member, researcher, advocate and more. A whole, authentic and real person. All of these aspects of me come together in how I support individuals and families on their journey to living their best lives. I have a lot (a LOT) of advanced training and its nothing without true collaboration with clients. My goal is to center you, support you and share some of my knowledge along the way. You don't have to suffer, and I am here to help.

How do you work with clients with parenting issues?

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, working with parents and caregivers. There is very little change that is successful and sustained in youth behavior without caregivers supporting the ongoing work. I support caregivers in building their skills to effectively support really challenging behaviors and crises so that kids can thrive and families can take a break from the chaos. I share helpful tools for behavior change and support families though those changes with individual, in the moment support. As a parent myself, I often think, "What would I do if I hadn't learned these things in grad school!' I want to give that knowledge to every parent so that they too can be confident and satisfied in how they parent.

How do you work with clients with self harming issues?

One of my areas of expertise is in supporting folks with self-harming behaviors through Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, collaboration, and working toward a life that is worth living. Leveraging my clinical skills alongside genuine partnership, and trust, I help individuals develop more helpful and safe ways of navigating pain. I balance giving space for understanding and processing with actionable skill development that leads to new behavior.
