How does cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) work and how can it help?
It is a practical, skills-based form of talk therapy that helps people rethink unhelpful patterns in their thoughts and actions. The basic idea is that how we think affects how we feel and behave, so if we change our negative thinking patterns, we can start to feel and act better, too.
For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
My diverse experience and dedication make me a trusted partner in mental health care, always ready to support my patients on their journey to wellness.
What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?
At the heart of my treatment philosophy is a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care. I believe in listening to my patients and understanding their unique stories. Each individual, whether they are a teenager or an elder, deserves personalized attention and a tailored approach to their mental health needs. My experience across varied healthcare settings allows me to think critically and creatively for effective solutions. I focus on supportive therapy and medication management, ensuring that my patients feel empowered in their treatment journey. It’s my mission to create a safe space where everyone feels valued, heard, and supported as they work toward their wellness goals.
How do you work with clients with ADHD?
An initial visit with a provider involves a medical history review, an assessment of your specific symptoms and concerns, and possible diagnostic tests to evaluate a patient's health, identify issues, and develop and discuss treatment options.
