Hi, I'm David. I am a licensed social worker from Baltimore, Maryland. I have almost a decade of experience helping children, adults, and couples navigate life. As an adult, I'm constantly reminded of how misguided I was and how much my village didn't teach me. I used to be resentful because I felt like I was forced to survive and be resilient. As if navigating the world as a Black man wasn't hard enough. These days, I recognize that while the life I was subjected to wasn't my fault, I am entirely responsible for what happens now. I firmly believe change starts with a strong sense of self. If you don't know who you are, how can you be anything for anyone else? Knowing who you encompass understanding what you can and will not tolerate. Learning how to cope with disappointment and maintain boundaries that protect the person you're becoming.
