I have been working in the mental health field for over 18 years with families, individuals and couples. I have a passion for group work and use a very collaborative approach because I know that you are the expert on yourself. I specialize in recovery from alcohol and substance abuse as well as transitions into new motherhood and women empowerment. I help couples learn and implement healthy communication. I utilize various modalities from art, writing, inner child work, experiential practices and evidenced based techniques to address the obstacles that you want to focus on and be the version of you that brings you peace and satisfaction.

My life circumstances necessitated that I watch and pay attention for safety. I adapted to difficult situations by analyzing the scenario and implementing the best measures to resolve the conflict. I am an empath and a sensitive. I read the room by it's emotional energy and instinctively gravitate to the crux of an issue and am not afraid to peel back the layers and address the elephant in the living room. I am motivated to continue because I have studied for over 20 years how to address various maladies and obstacles. Nothing gives me more solace than to walk with people as they find their inner guide and wise self. Connecting with others in an authentic, vulnerable manner is not something that can be found in common social circumstances. However, in my profession, there is nothing trite or false- it is 100% real and meaningful.

It is understandable that you would be hesitant to invite a stranger into your inner realm and world. It is a healthy and safe response. I offer complimentary 20 minutes consultations so that you can ask me any questions and get a feel for if I would be someone that you would feel comfortable talking with. Therapy is guided by your pace and there is no right or wrong way to proceed. It is individualized based on what is working for you personally,

I am very skilled in CBT, which is an evidenced based practice with a great deal of success for clients struggling with addiction. I am very versed and fluent in the 12 step recovery principles having worked at various treatment facilities. You are not alone and help is possible.

Couples counseling is a very honorable and brave undertaking for a pair. The main crux of this type of therapy is learning how to communicate in healthy ways. We learn how to use assertive methods of sharing and how to have productive arguments versus destructive ones. We lay ground rules to protect both parties and ensure that both partners feel heard, safe and understood.

I solely offer online sessions. This method allows us to work at later evening hours to accomodate hectic shedules. It also enables you to be in an environment where you feel safe and comfortable.
