About Diana

Not interested in weekly sessions? I offer bespoke multi-hour intensives for clients looking for deep work which can lead to transformation. With uninterrupted time, you can dive deep into issues which have been holding you back. There is space to explore, release and move forward - without rushing or stopping early. Common topics women focus on: processing sexual assaults, war experiences, medical trauma, religious trauma, anger, guilt, and phobias. Modalities used: somatic tapping, brainspotting, flash, deep brain reorienting, IFS/Parts work, Schema work. Depending on client interests, in person sessions in Mobile, Alabama may also include using art supplies, exploring symbolism with oracle or tarot cards, incorporating movement with yoga, or going outside to walk in a park or at nearby beaches at the Gulf of Mexico. Many people fly in for therapy and combine it with a vacation. Intensives are a minimum of 3 hours to a maximum of 7 hours in one or more days. Many people will schedule a 4 hour morning session followed by an afternoon at the beach and repeat that for two or three days. Intensives can be during the weekday or on weekend. We will have one meeting before the intensive to clearly define your goals for the intensive. After the intensive, there will be a short follow up meeting to discuss the results of the intensive. All intensives are private pay. No superbill or diagnosis will be provided. A non-refundable deposit is required.

Approaches · Somatic

How does somatic therapy work and how can it help?

Somatic therapy can use a variety of techniques, but they all focus on using certain body movements to process and release upsetting emotions from the inner brain. This might mean tapping on certain spots on the body, or it might mean using different eye movements. It will also include using deep breathing or body stretches. These movements activate a the part of the brain where upsetting emotions are held and begins to release those emotions. This action is different than talk therapy. These emotions could be from an event 30 years ago or from an hour ago. Somatic therapy can take an emotion that is maxed out where you want to cry, run away, or hide and reduce that emotion to almost nothing. In many cases, it becomes completely neutral. A big fat zero. And it doesn't come back.
Approaches · Eclectic

How does eclectic therapy work and how can it help?

Eclectic therapy is just another word for customized therapy. This approach is tailored to what you need and as your needs change within the intensive, the therapy is adjusted to meet your needs. We look at how you feel inside your body and what your body is saying to you. We might also integrate some drawing or looking at the symbolism of an oracle or a tarot card. We might also craft positive affirmations you can use throughout your week. An eclectic therapist creates a bespoke experience for the client which often opens the client to be able to experience transformation towards their goals.
