For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?

Counseling can help individuals accept the parts of their lives they are unable to change and focus on the parts they can change. Counseling is a personal journey that will help clients reach their goals, overcome struggles, and empower them to better themselves.

What does a typical session with you tend to look like?

You will be invited to share your reasons for coming to therapy, some pertinent historical experiences and provide honest information to help me as your counselor to assess your situation. At a minimum you can expect to learn self-awareness, coping skills and boundaries. You will be provided with some homework(i.e. worksheets) to complete after a session. This homework is to aid you in achieving your goals. During your next session, you may share your progress, review your homework (i.e., worksheet) and address any areas where you may have become overwhelmed, anxious, frustrated, or stuck.

How can you provide care remotely?

Dr. Beaulieu provides teletherapy through a secure online portal that allows individuals to connect with me from virtually anywhere. Online services provide access to therapeutic support quickly and with little hassle.
