About Elizabeth
Is your teen having difficulty navigating stress, conflict, or their identity? As a result, do they often feel alone or misunderstood? The transition into adulthood can be tough, and many teens experience anxiety, confusion, low self-esteem, and challenges in their relationships. It’s normal to be overwhelmed by these emotions and need guidance when establishing lifelong skills for coping and stress management. As a nonjudgemental, strengths-oriented therapist serving teens throughout the Houston area, I aim to create a strong therapeutic relationship that empowers and celebrates each individual throughout the counseling process.
While each client receives their own personalized counseling plan, I often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques in therapy for teens. By fostering skills for emotional awareness and distress tolerance, these approaches promote resilience, self-compassion, and healthier relationships.
I understand the specific pressures teens face, which is why I strive to create a warm therapy environment where issues like stress, anxiety, and relationship conflict can be approached gently yet effectively. With a diverse personal and professional background,I offer a unique perspective that facilitates a holistic sense of self-discovery among my clients.
