About Elizabeth
I believe therapy is a collaboration. I want to empower my clients and advocate for them throughout the therapeutic process. At the end of the day, I feel that each person is the expert on their own self, and at different seasons in our lives, we all need extra support and validation.
I utilize an integrative style of therapy, meaning, I pull from many different schools of thought! Primarily, I use a Psychodynamic approach that is trauma-informed. I also utilize Reality Therapy and Mindfulness techniques.
I invite you to reach out to me to schedule a free and casual introduction via phone to see if you believe I would be a good fit as your therapist. I thank you for your interest and I am looking forward to meeting you.

What's your experience with clients with anxiety?
I firmly believe that some level of anxiety is a part of life. I don't believe in curing anxiety but I do believe in finding ways of managing anxiety. I teach mindfulness skills and discuss how to address repetitive thought patterns clients struggle with.
Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I have struggled with mental health in my own way throughout my life and interestingly psychology class came naturally to me because of that. When I realized becoming a therapist was an option for me, I went for it. My motivation for continuing in this career is my clients! This can be a very gratifying career and I feel honored to be able to do this work!
What's your experience with clients with depression?
Depression comes in waves. Sometimes it feels like it will never end and then we find ourselves washed up on the shore. I help my clients find a way to ride the waves of depression. I address underlying beliefs about the self and process previous experiences which lead clients to where they are at this moment.
For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
It can be intimidating to start therapy for the first time or even to dive back into therapy after a long break. I like to schedule a consultation call so that my future clients can get a feel of my personality and ask any questions that might provide more information about whether or not they feel I will be a good fit. During our first session, I'll talk about how the process of therapy works and hopefully alleviate some of those potential fears associated with starting therapy.
What does a typical session with you tend to look like?
A typical session with me can be broken up into three parts. A check-in, processing of emotions along with teaching a coping skill, and then a summary/review of the session.
How can you provide care remotely?
I utilize Simple Practice HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform for sessions as well as for storing my client information and documentation.
