Welcome! I'm a passionate healthcare professional dedicated to providing compassionate and effective telehealth therapy. With a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness, I offer supportive counseling services for adults and older adolescents. My experience in counseling and case management has equipped me with the skills to provide impactful mental health therapy, ensuring my clients receive the care and support they deserve.
I see clients almost exclusively during morning hours, up until noon (CST) and can easily accommodate people with non-traditional schedules, since I have appointments as early (or late!) as 1am CST. Just like a good workout, a therapy session first thing in the morning can help you start your day off right.
In addition to counseling, I've been instrumental in developing innovative strategies for Medicaid Special Needs programs, emphasizing quality assurance and improvement in Illinois. My cross-functional leadership has enabled me to work collaboratively with community partners, optimizing program outcomes and enhancing quality of care.
I hold certifications as a Case Manager (CCM) and Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), which reflect my commitment to providing holistic care. I'm dedicated to meeting my clients where they are at, and helping them to achieve their mental health goals, without judgement.
My goal is to help you navigate your health journey with expertise, empathy, and unwavering support. Let's work together towards your well-being.

How do you work with clients with anxiety?
Working with clients experiencing anxiety, I employ a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to their unique needs. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices, I assist clients in identifying triggers, understanding the root causes of their anxiety, and developing practical strategies to manage symptoms. Through relaxation techniques, cognitive restructuring, and exposure therapy, I empower clients to confront their fears and regain a sense of control over their lives. My approach emphasizes building resilience and fostering self-compassion as clients navigate their anxiety journey.
Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I became a counselor because of my deep-seated desire to support and empower individuals in need of guidance and healing. Having worked in various healthcare settings, I witnessed the profound impact of mental health struggles on individuals and communities. This inspired me to pursue a career where I could make a meaningful difference in people's lives by providing compassionate and effective therapy. What motivates me to continue is seeing the transformative journey of my clients as they overcome challenges, develop resilience, and thrive in their lives. Being a part of their growth and witnessing their resilience fuels my passion for therapy every day.
How do you work with clients with depression?
I approach depression with empathy and understanding, meeting clients where they are in their journey. Utilizing evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors contributing to their depression. Together, we explore coping strategies and develop personalized tools to manage symptoms and improve overall well-being. My goal is to provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients can gain insight, build resilience, and work towards a brighter future.
For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
To those hesitant to try therapy, I want to emphasize that seeking help is a courageous and empowering step towards better mental health. Therapy offers a confidential space to explore emotions, gain insight, and learn valuable coping skills to navigate life's challenges. It's okay to feel uncertain or apprehensive about starting therapy, but I encourage you to prioritize your well-being and give yourself permission to seek support. Together, we can work collaboratively towards building resilience, finding clarity, and creating positive change in your life.
What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?
Clients considering working with me can expect a compassionate, nonjudgmental, and collaborative therapeutic experience. I prioritize creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore their challenges and work towards their goals. With a focus on evidence-based approaches and client-centered care, I am dedicated to tailoring therapy to meet the individual needs and preferences of each client, guiding them on their journey towards healing and personal growth.
What do therapy sessions with you look like?
Initial Visit (Telehealth) - 55 minutes
An initial visit with a provider involves a medical history review, an assessment of your specific symptoms and concerns, and possible diagnostic tests to evaluate a patient's health, identify issues, and develop and discuss treatment options.
Follow-up Visit (Telehealth) - 55 minutes
A follow-up visit with a provider involves checking the progress of the patient's treatment plan, assessing any new symptoms or concerns, and adjusting the treatment plan as needed to ensure optimal health outcomes.
How can you provide care remotely?
As a dedicated telehealth counselor, I offer compassionate and effective counseling services remotely. Utilizing secure and confidential platforms, I conduct therapy sessions via video conferencing or phone calls, providing convenience and accessibility to clients from the comfort of their own homes. Through telehealth, I am able to maintain the same level of professionalism and therapeutic support as in-person sessions, ensuring continuity of care and promoting mental health wellness despite physical distance.
