Even though I am a therapist I am also human. It is crucial to me to bring this awareness and reminder into my therapy sessions. I will make mistakes. I won't have all the right answers or always say exactly the right thing. I'm really forthcoming with that in sessions. I'll make mistakes and take responsibility of them. I try to show up in a posture of humility and desiring growth so that my clients can see me authentically show up with them and for them in ways that promote growth for us both. Feedback is extremely important to me and I will ask clients for it. I don't think I sit on the other side of the room with all of the right answers and I'm the first to admit that. I'm also aware of the fact that I will be providing you with feedback and challenging you so I want there to be certain reciprocity for us. I want to be relational for my clients. I will bring humor into our sessions because it's a big part of my personality and therapy isn't meant to be heavy and overwhelming all the time! And most of all, I strive to let clients feel seen, valued, understood, and prioritized. Our sessions are about you and your goals, experiences, and strategies. I want spend time providing you with the safety to explore each of those things and more in a way you might not have every been able to before.
