About Eric
I’m a counselor-in-training pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University. I work from a collaborative, compassionate, and holistic perspective, helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, relationship challenges, life transitions, and feelings of disconnection from themselves and others. I integrate psychodynamic, Jungian, somatic, mindfulness-based, family systems, existential, and experiential approaches to therapy.
I am interested in nervous system regulation, trauma healing, meaning-making, men’s mental health, group work. My work emphasizes both inner and outer transformation, supporting clients in developing awareness of the patterns, beliefs, emotions, and bodily experiences that shape their lives.
I have a special interest in working with individuals experiencing misophonia and other nervous system-based sensitivities.
Before entering the counseling profession, I spent more than 25 years in the corporate world.

What's your approach to grief, and what does progress look like for clients?
I approach grief with compassion, patience, and respect for the uniqueness of each person's experience. Grief can involve many emotions, including sadness, anger, confusion, disconnection, or even a search for meaning. Rather than rushing the process, I support clients in making space for their emotions and exploring how loss has affected their sense of self and connection with others. Progress may look like developing greater awareness, finding meaning, reconnecting with yourself and others, and gradually learning to carry your experience of loss in a way that feels more integrated.
How does attachment-based therapy work, and what do sessions look like?
Attachment-based therapy explores how early relationships and experiences may shape the ways we connect with ourselves and others today. In sessions, we may explore patterns in relationships, emotional responses, beliefs, and experiences of connection or disconnection. Together, we work to build greater awareness, develop a deeper understanding of your needs, and create healthier ways of relating. Sessions are collaborative, compassionate, and paced to support your individual goals and experiences.
