How do you work with clients with depression?

When working with someone dealing with depression, the first step is to get a clear picture of what’s going on. This includes reviewing their medical history, talking about their specific symptoms and concerns, and sometimes using tests to rule out other conditions or better understand their situation. From there, we work together to create a treatment plan that fits their needs. This might involve therapy, medication, lifestyle changes, or a combination of these to help them feel better and move toward recovery.

How does cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) work and how can it help?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach helps you see how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected. It teaches you to spot negative thoughts, challenge them, and replace them with healthier ones. With practice, this builds better coping skills, reduces stress, and helps you manage challenges more confidently. It’s practical, goal-oriented, and works well for issues like anxiety and depression.
