I am Dr. Francisca Ogu, DNP, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 14 years of healthcare experience, specializing in mental health for over 6 years. I earned a Bachelor's in Nursing from Grand Canyon University Phoenix, Arizona, and advanced degrees—a Master's and Doctorate of Nursing in Psychiatric Mental Health from Walden University Minnesota. I have vast experience in managing clients and families experiencing Depression, Bipolar, Anxiety, Trauma, ADHD, Schizophrenia, and other challenges. I know how best to work with these clients and families to create a calming and trusting environment. My passion is to help my clients gain the necessary insights and skills to handle various life challenges successfully. I use the most recent advancements in medicine when treating different psychiatric disorders, and I believe in individualized, holistic, and evidence-based treatments. My vision is to improve access to quality care while embracing and investing in the mental health of individuals. TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: I believe in building strong, trusting relationships with my clients. Every patient is unique, and I strive to understand their individual needs. My approach combines evidence-based practices like cognitive-behavioral therapy and interpersonal therapy with compassionate support. I focus on educating patients about their mental health and medication to foster self-awareness. My goal is to empower clients toward self-actualization and healing while reducing hospitalization rates. I work closely with multidisciplinary teams to create personalized treatment plans.
