How do you work with clients with anxiety?
I use a multifaceted approach to working with anxious clients, including assessment, education, medication management, lifestyle changes, and ongoing support, with the goal of empowering them to effectively manage their symptoms and improve their overall well-being.
How do you work with clients with trauma and PTSD?
I support clients with trauma and PTSD using a trauma-informed approach that includes psychoeducation, safety planning, and emotional regulation skills. In addition, I address co-occurring issues, provide medication management when necessary, encourage self-care, and work with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
How can you provide care remotely?
I provide remote mental health services such as assessments, medication management, psychoeducation, and collaborative care, using telemedicine platforms and digital tools to help clients' well-being from a distance.
How does motivational interviewing work and how can it help?
Motivational interviewing (MI) is a counseling technique that collaboratively investigates and resolves ambivalence about behavior change. To empower clients to make long-term changes, it is necessary to elicit change talk, highlight discrepancies, and build self-efficacy. MI values autonomy, boosts motivation, and helps clients make informed decisions about their behavior.
