About Holly
My healthcare career started in 2012 working in addiction medicine which I quickly grew to love. This morphed into psychiatry which I now practice (and also love) full time. I enjoy working with all shapes and sizes of people aged 14 and older including (and especially) the LGBTQ+ population. I have an additional certification in perinatal care and love working with pre-moms, moms-to-be and post-moms! My other special interest is the treatment of OCD. I see many, many patients struggling with anxiety, depression, mood disorders like bipolar and everything in between (ADHD included). In general, I am a solution-focused provider. This means I am a bitand to the point. Lets find the problem and fix it. I am also a bit on the med conservative side. Lets get you living your best life on the least amount of medications- this can be 0, this can be 5. Everyone is unique in their own way.

How do you work with clients with bipolar disorder?
When working with bipolar disorder, my goal is to help you feel more stable, informed, and in control of your day-to-day life. I take a practical, solution-focused approach: we look at what you’re experiencing, what patterns are showing up, and what treatment options can help you function and feel better. Treatment often includes a careful review of mood history, sleep, energy, impulsivity, depression symptoms, anxiety, medications, and lifestyle factors. Because bipolar disorder can look different from person to person, I focus on understanding your specific pattern rather than using a one-size-fits-all plan. I’m also thoughtful and conservative with medication. The goal is not to overmedicate, but to find the least amount of medication needed to support stability and quality of life. We’ll work together to reduce mood swings, prevent episodes when possible, and help you build a plan that feels realistic and sustainable.
How does positive psychology work and how can it help?
Positive psychology focuses on what helps people build a meaningful, fulfilling life — not just what reduces symptoms. It looks at strengths, values, resilience, relationships, purpose, gratitude, confidence, and the habits that support emotional well-being. In treatment, this can mean identifying what is already working, building healthier routines, strengthening coping skills, and helping you reconnect with the parts of life that feel good, motivating, or meaningful. This approach can be especially helpful for anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, postpartum challenges, and general emotional burnout. Positive psychology does not mean pretending everything is fine. It means acknowledging real struggles while also building tools that help you move forward. The goal is to help you feel more capable, grounded, and connected to a life that feels worth showing up for.
