Approaches · Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
How does cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) work, and what do sessions look like?
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) focuses on the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify patterns that may be contributing to distress and develop practical, healthier ways of responding to challenges. CBT is collaborative and goal-oriented, giving you tools you can apply both during and between sessions.
Sessions may include discussing current concerns, identifying unhelpful thought patterns, practicing coping and problem-solving skills, and setting realistic goals for the week ahead. The pace and focus are tailored to your needs, with the goal of helping you build lasting skills, greater self-awareness, and confidence in managing life's challenges.

What's your approach to ADHD, and what does progress look like for clients?
My approach to ADHD is personalized, practical, and focused on helping you understand how ADHD affects your daily life, relationships, work, and overall well-being. I take the time to understand your unique symptoms, strengths, challenges, and goals before developing a treatment plan that may include education, behavioral strategies, lifestyle changes, and medication management when appropriate.
Progress looks different for everyone. It may mean improved focus and organization, better emotional regulation, fewer feelings of overwhelm, improved confidence, or simply feeling more in control of your daily life. My goal is to work collaboratively with you so that treatment supports your strengths and helps you function and thrive in the areas that matter most to you.
