About Iman

Iman Hines, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and the Founder and CEO of Mindbodysoul Psychiatry. With more than 12 years of behavioral healthcare experience, she specializes in helping professionals, executives, and entrepreneurs manage ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, mood concerns, and work-related stress. Iman understands that people can appear successful while privately struggling with focus, motivation, emotional balance, relationships, or burnout. She provides a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard and understood. Her approach combines evidence-based psychiatric treatment, thoughtful medication management, and holistic wellness strategies. Each treatment plan is personalized to the patient’s symptoms, lifestyle, goals, and professional responsibilities. Iman’s goal is to help patients experience meaningful, lasting improvement—not simply manage symptoms. She works collaboratively with each person to strengthen daily functioning, improve overall well-being, and build a healthier, more fulfilling life.

How does cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) work, and what do sessions look like?

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) focuses on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, low mood, or difficulty functioning, and work on developing healthier and more effective ways of responding. The goal is not to eliminate every difficult thought or emotion, but to build practical skills that help you navigate challenges with greater clarity and confidence. Sessions are collaborative and goal-oriented. We may explore current concerns, identify unhelpful thinking patterns, practice coping strategies, and develop practical steps to apply between sessions. The pace and focus are tailored to your needs, with an emphasis on skills you can use in your personal and professional life.

What's your approach to depression, and what does progress look like for clients?

My approach to depression is personalized, collaborative, and focused on understanding the whole person—not just managing symptoms. I consider factors such as mood, sleep, energy, motivation, stress, relationships, work demands, and overall lifestyle when developing a treatment plan. When appropriate, treatment may include evidence-based medication management, therapeutic strategies, and practical wellness approaches that support emotional and physical well-being. Progress looks different for everyone, but meaningful improvement often includes greater motivation and energy, improved focus and emotional balance, better sleep, healthier relationships, and feeling more capable of managing everyday responsibilities. My goal is to help clients move beyond simply getting through the day and toward feeling more engaged, confident, and fulfilled in their lives.
