About Jacob
Recognizing that things need to change is a good thing. It's usually the first step toward making improvements in our lives. I'm here to help you make things more manageable and to help you increase you satisfaction in life. Reaching out for help might be difficult and somewhat scary but it doesn’t have to be. My style of counseling is laid back, non-judgmental and accepting. Once we get started the initial anxiety of getting setup will ease and we can start working toward the goals that you have in mind or that I can help you find.

About Me
Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I started to become interested in the helping field as a teenager. I worked with kids diagnosed with autism. I continue to work in this field because I love to help people. I always enjoy being able to see people change into a better version of themselves.
About Me
For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
It can be difficult to get started but I can ensure you that I’ve never had someone leave the session saying they wish they’d never did it. They usually say I wish I’d done this earlier.
About Me
What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?
I’m a really laid back kind of guy. Most people have told me they feel like they’ve known me for a long time. I feel like making the process as simple as a conversation with an old friend.
About Me
What does a typical session with you tend to look like?
A typical session starts with a simple check in. How have things been going? What have you done lately? What’s been difficult? We discuss things that you want to discuss and move into therapeutic techniques, improving awareness, discussing ways to relax and calm your mind. It varies from session to session effortlessly guided by the two of us.
About Me
How can you provide care remotely?
I work with several clients through a virtual platform. I give you a link, when it’s your appointment time you click the link and we’re ready to get started. I use a whiteboard often to give visuals, I can share my screen or have you share yours if you have something you want to share. I try to make the experience as close to in person as possible.
