Welcome! I'm a dedicated mental health professional with a passion for supporting individuals through their toughest moments. My journey began at the University of Alabama, where I honed my research skills and mentored students, laying the groundwork for a career built on knowledge and compassion.
At Gracepoint Wellness, I embraced the challenge of adult emergency services, offering both individual and group therapy to those grappling with mental health and substance use issues. Similarly, at the Counseling Service Center, I provided guidance to individuals navigating court-mandated programs, covering vital topics such as domestic violence and anger management.
Beyond my professional roles, I believe in giving back. Volunteering at Gracepoint Wellness and the Counseling Service Center has allowed me to offer pro bono therapy, making a difference in many lives. My commitment extends to the Florida Thoroughbred Association and Divine Province Thrift Store, where I support community initiatives.
As a proud member of both the American Mental Health Counselors Association and Suncoast Mental Counselors Association, I stay connected to the latest in our field. My dedication to continuous learning is reflected in my recent certifications in crisis intervention, psychological first aid, safety administration, and life support among others. These ensure that I am equipped with cutting-edge strategies to help you navigate life's challenges.
With expertise in evidence-based therapies like Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), I'm committed to finding the approach that works best for you. And rest assured, my computer literacy means your records are kept meticulously for seamless care coordination.
Thank you for considering me as your partner on this journey toward wellness. Together, we'll work towards healing and resilience.

How does couples therapy work and how can it help?
Couples therapy provides a structured space to improve communication, identify and address negative patterns, set mutual goals, and build skills for managing conflict and fostering intimacy. It helps strengthen relationships and resolve issues, leading to greater satisfaction and connection between partners.
How do you work with clients with anxiety?
With clients experiencing anxiety, I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). We work together to identify and challenge anxious thoughts, develop coping strategies, and gradually expose them to anxiety-provoking situations in a controlled manner. My goal is to help clients manage their anxiety, build resilience, and improve their overall quality of life through tailored, supportive interventions.
Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I became a therapist because of a deep passion for supporting individuals through their toughest moments and a desire to make a meaningful impact on people's lives. My journey began at the University of Alabama, where I developed a strong foundation in both knowledge and empathy through research and mentoring.
What motivates me to continue is the fulfillment I find in guiding individuals towards healing and resilience. My experiences at Gracepoint Wellness and the Counseling Service Center, where I worked with clients facing significant challenges like mental health issues, substance use, domestic violence, and anger management, have reinforced my commitment to this field. Volunteering and giving back to the community further inspire me, as I witness firsthand the positive change therapy can bring.
Ultimately, the opportunity to provide compassionate, evidence-based care and help clients navigate life's challenges keeps me motivated every day.
How do you work with clients with depression?
For clients with depression, I use evidence-based therapies like CBT to challenge negative thoughts, develop coping strategies, set achievable goals, and explore underlying issues. My approach combines empathetic support with practical tools to improve mood and overall well-being.
For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
Therapy is a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. It's a sign of strength, not weakness, to seek help, and therapy is a collaborative process aimed at finding the best strategies for you. You're not alone, and taking the first step can lead to personal growth, healing, and resilience.
What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?
People considering working with me should know that I am a compassionate, dedicated therapist who values creating a safe and non-judgmental space for healing. I use evidence-based approaches tailored to individual needs, focusing on empathy, collaboration, and personal growth. My goal is to support you through life’s challenges with understanding and to empower you with tools for lasting well-being.
What do therapy sessions with you look like?
Therapy sessions with me are collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your individual needs. We begin by creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can openly share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I use evidence-based approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide our work together.
Our sessions will involve exploring your challenges, identifying patterns or behaviors that may be holding you back, and developing personalized strategies to help you achieve your goals. Whether we're working on managing anxiety, processing trauma, or improving relationships, my approach is to support you with empathy and understanding while also empowering you to make positive changes.
Throughout our time together, I will provide you with tools and coping strategies that you can use in your daily life, helping you build resilience and foster long-term well-being. My focus is on making each session meaningful, productive, and aligned with your goals, ensuring that you feel heard, supported, and understood every step of the way.
How can you provide care remotely?
I provide remote care through secure video conferencing platforms, allowing you to receive therapy from the comfort of your home. This approach ensures privacy and flexibility while maintaining the same level of personalized, evidence-based support that you would receive in-person.
