My name is Jakelia Hampton. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate. I obtained my Master of Social Work with Loyola University of Chicago with a specialization in gerontology and family services. My main focus is to help and empower children, adolescents and adults who have self-esteem, anger management, relationship, trauma and life adjustment difficulties thrive fully in their life.
I support all individuals and aim to make certain that you are comfortable and remain in a safe therapeutic environment. Assisting with learning effective coping skills and guidance using the therapy modalities of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Focused therapy and other supportive evidence-based practices.

How does trauma focused therapy work and how can it help?
Trauma focused therapy better none as TF-CBT provides the opportunity to process traumatic experiences in a safe and supportive environment. The goal of the TF-CBT model is to assist individuals who have experienced trauma better understand how these events have made an impact on their emotions, way of thinking and behaviors. TF-CBT can help provide insight on the benefits of implementing healthy effective coping mechanisms to manage the effects of the trauma.
