*About me Hi, I’m Jacquelyn Romano, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Therapist with 15 years of experience helping individuals and couples navigate a range of emotional challenges. At Mind Over Matter Marriage and Family Therapy, I specialize in working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, postpartum depression and anxiety, and other parenting-related concerns. My goal is to create a safe, judgment-free space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported. I believe in a collaborative approach—working together to build the skills, coping strategies, and insight that will empower you to make meaningful changes in your life. Life can present many challenges, but with the right support, it’s possible to heal and create the life you desire. It takes great courage to embark on a journey of change, and I’m here to walk alongside you as you build a more fulfilling and balanced life. Remember, it’s never too late to begin healing, and I look forward to being a part of your journey toward growth and empowerment. *Treatment philosophy I take a holistic, compassionate approach to therapy, integrating mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed care. Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?

I became a therapist to help people navigate life’s challenges with compassion and support. Seeing clients heal, grow, and regain control of their lives motivates me every day. Knowing I can provide a safe space for transformation keeps me passionate about this work.

For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?

Therapy is a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. You don’t have to face challenges alone—healing and growth are possible with support. Taking the first step can feel scary, but it’s also a powerful act of self-care and strength.

What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?

I provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and supported. My approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs, integrating mindfulness, CBT, and trauma-informed care to help you heal, grow, and build resilience.

What do therapy sessions with you look like?

Therapy sessions with me are collaborative, supportive, and tailored to your needs. We’ll explore your thoughts and emotions in a safe, judgment-free space while developing practical tools to help you navigate life’s challenges. My approach is compassionate, goal-oriented, and focused on lasting growth.

How do you work with clients with trauma and PTSD?

I use a trauma-informed approach to create a safe, supportive space for healing. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), I help clients process their experiences, regulate emotions, and build resilience, empowering them to move forward with strength and confidence.

How do you work with clients with depression?

I support clients with depression by providing a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to explore their emotions. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques, I help clients challenge negative thoughts, build coping skills, and rediscover motivation to create a more balanced, fulfilling life.

How do you work with clients with anxiety?

I help clients with anxiety by creating a supportive space to explore their thoughts and emotions. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and grounding techniques, I guide clients in identifying triggers, managing stress, and developing coping strategies to regain a sense of calm and control.

How can you provide care remotely?

I offer secure, confidential online therapy sessions, allowing you to receive support from the comfort of your home. My virtual sessions are flexible, accessible, and tailored to your needs, ensuring you get quality care no matter where you are.
