For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
We learn and grow as we try new things and gain different perspectives. Therapy is a collaboration where someone helps you address your concerns or goals. If you were content with how things currently are then you likely would not be seeking extra support or guidance. If you are seeking change or healing in your life then taking the step of consulting someone who has experience helping people with those concerns is a practical thing to do. Communicate your wishes and your needs clearly to your counselor to get the most benefit from the therapy experience.
