I'm a clinical social worker with 10 years of experience. I have a upbeat, creative, warm and non-judgmental personality which clients report make it easy and natural to open up to me. I believe that therapy is an avenue to self improvement, healing and transformation. I see myself as a guide who supports clients in their journey of personal and emotional growth. I help clients become more self-aware, improve self regulation and coping skills, heal from previous stressful/traumatic experiences, enhance their communication skills, and understand their emotions at a deeper level.
I see clients across the lifespan and provide counseling to children, adolescents and adults. I use traditional counseling techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing and solution-focused therapy, as well as complementary therapy approaches such as mindfulness and meditation to help clients work towards greater happiness.
Please reach out to me via email, phone call or text if you are interested in becoming a new client. I respond to texts and e-mails within 24 hours. Once we connect, I will set up the 15 minute phone consultation to discuss my availability, answer questions, and help you determine if working with me is a good fit for you and your goals.

What's your experience with clients with anxiety?
I specialize in therapy for individuals with anxiety. It is the most common diagnosis that I treat and I have worked with a diverse group of clients with a variety of anxiety issues: panic, social phobia, intrusive thoughts, performance anxiety, general anxiety, adjustment issues, etc. I help my clients understand their anxiety better, learn to more effectively process their anxiety and teach strategies for coping with anxiety that really work.
Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I'm a spiritual and highly empathetic person. I was naturally drawn to becoming a therapist due to interest in helping and healing others. I empower my clients to make changes to improve their lives and have great success stories of people who truly transformed their lives while working with me.
What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?
As for a little more information to help you get to know me better...I love to travel. I think immersing yourself into a different places, cultures, and/or among diverse groups of people is a great educational experience. My dream is to eventually travel the world. I enjoy spending time outdoors; it helps me relax and feel more grounded. Most of my weekends are usually spent hiking or doing other outdoor activities. I am an avid crafter. I love to create. I experiment in making all types of crafts including jewelry, personalized gifts and art.
What does a typical session with you tend to look like?
We will spend some time getting to know each other at the initial session. I will ask questions to help me understand your life situation, mental health concerns and therapy goals. We will make a plan of what treatment goals you would like to focus on first and what steps we will take to accomplish them.
What's your experience with clients with women's issues?
I worked for an extensive period of time as a licensed social worker providing counseling services to women receiving maternity and OBGYN services. I have experience counseling woman around reproductive heath issues such as: pregnancy, pregnancy loss, adoption, voluntary pregnancy termination, infertility and miscarriage. While predominately working with women, I also gained experience doing counseling regarding relationship issues, family conflict, domestic violence, and parenting issues.
