Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
Working in a home visitation program for 10 years, assisting individuals and families with a variety of risk factors is what started my passion for counseling. I genuinely enjoy offering a warm presence for others to reflect to and aid in the journey of healing and growth.
For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
Going to therapy can seem very scary and intimidating but once started it opens the door to a healthy and happy life.
What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?
Although I naturally gravitate towards a cognitive behavioral approach to therapy, my main priority is learning about each client as the unique person they are and adjusting my style to their specific needs.
What does a typical session with you tend to look like?
My sessions are all telehealth and are therefore in the comfort of your own home.
